My Clown Tarot was showcased on this wonderful site Mr. La-luna's Tarot Weblog - It was a labor of love and I am honored that others can appreciate my visionary art and the paths that they travel. I hope everyone who loves the tarot will check it out. Click the photo above if you would like to purchase a limited edition Majors only deck.
I love to paint and design dolls from paper and polymer clays. My husband Mike loves to make art from Driftwood from the Cumberland River that falls over the Cumberland Falls near our home in SE Kentucky. This blog is a chronicle of our work and what inspires us. A lot of my favorite things are antique dolls, surreal art and the sweet macabre if those two can go together. My husband is inspired by primitive art and the feel and smell of old wood. I hope you enjoy browsing through our pages.

My Fun Raised Beds

Well we have spent all week working on these great raised beds. I have many more planned but these are a great start. We bought our topsoil from William's Nursery here in Whitley County. They have wonderful plants and always have a smile. So stop by and see them.
I have my peas planted and have my pipes ready for summer irrigation. Wish me luck. I will let you know how it goes.

New Pirate Painting

I have been working on some new paintings whenever I have a spare few moments and seem to be inclinded to work on Pirates. Pirates roam the high seas looking for treasures and danger. They inspire young men to leave home for adventure and young damsels of adventure and passion. This little guy just met his first mermaid.

New Website New Day
I have decided to change the name of my website Cumberland Falls Arts. We live so close to this beautiful state park that I thought it would only be fitting to change the website in Cumberland Falls honor. Millions of visitors come to our hometown of Corbin Ky to see the Moonbow, the only moon bow in this hemisphere. We have such a wonderland of natural beauty and it is such an inspiration. I hope to add some wonderful pictures from this area regularly.

By the Sea
A day at the beach, I can't think of anything more magical and beautiful. I have spent time on beaches ranging from Daytona Fl., Wrightsville NC, Destin Fl. I also loved Cancun and Ocapulco Mexico. I wanted to paint something that reminded me of that wonderful time I spent on these wonderful sand covered paradises.
Here is my memory and it is for sale on my website at http://www.nannynortonprims.com/.
New Paintings on My Website
Finally I have gotten back to painting. I have been so busy lately that it has been a real challenge for me to paint lately. I put it off for weeks but the need overtook me and I was able to finish some work. Yeh!!! I love to paint but sometimes it is just intimidating to finish something that you can be proud of.
I have added a few works to my website that I had put aside for a while. I hope to keep track of my work more and add pics more often.
I am also writing some short stories so I will let everyone know how that goes. I hope to be able to add some here soon.

New Dolls This Week
Today I have been pondering on my next project. I have really gotten lazy about my painting and have been focusing on my dolls. I think they give me a chance to go back and be child. I think I missed that when I was growing up. I made a Valentine Doll and I named her Kimmie,
here she is

I also made a Sally doll which is a character of mine
she has her little dog too.
I will try to add a couple more tomorrow.

New Primitive Grungy Pumpkin Pattern for Fall
I love these guys, they are super easy to make and I love the feel of them.
This is a pattern that is not too prim and not too cute. Just right for any fall or Halloween decor.
They are easy enough that you can make a lot of them. You can find them on my website at http://www.nannynortonprims.com/ or on pattern mart.
Happy crafting and Happy Halloween.

Alice in Wonderland Primitive Doll Pattern
I have just finished up a new pattern for pattern mart. I am working on a series of dolls from Alice in Wonderland. This is the third Alice that I have done and I just love how she turned out. All of my patterns are easy to make and would be fine for a beginner. I can't do any fancy sewing so that makes it easier for everyone else.
Here is a pick, I hope to have a couple of others soon.

Charleston SC vacation
Well just got back from Charleston a few days ago and it is a beautiful city. Way too much good food. If I lived there I would weigh 500 lbs. Really liked the seafood. I found a really cool cemetery on one of the old streets lined with 300 yr old trees. Really beautiful !!! I will download some pics tomorrow.

New Work today
I love doing these little quirky portraits and think I will stick with them for a while. I move around so much in my thoughts, it makes me tired. LOL
I will be so glad to see Spring get here. It was around 70 the last couple of days but is now back down to around 30- I wish it would just get warm.
I am working on adding more items to etsy right now. It seems that ebay has does something terrible to their search and nothing seems to show up any more.
I wish they would just leave things the way they were, ofcourse I know change can be good too.
