New Halloween Postcards and Aceos for Ebay

I have been busy as a bee with Halloween goodies. It is my favorite holiday and I get started as soon as I can. The weather has been cooler here so it is starting to feel like fall.

Here are a couple of my new works listed on ebay today.

New Dolls for Ebay

Hi again,
well I have been a busy bee working on Halloween goodies. I have really been working hard and am so proud of my little guys. They turned out better than I could have expected. I hope you like them. They are on ebay this week.

New Dolls for Fall

Well I have to say that I am the worst to post to my blog. I spend all my time creating. LOL

Really, I am always busy making something. The last couple of days I have been making dolls and have really had fun.

I love Halloween so have really been trying to work on them.

I have made some cute little guys I call Halloween Suckers which have stolen my heart today.

Here is a pic of the little cuties. I have them listed on ebay also.

Check out my website at www.nannynortonprims.com

for other great stuff.

Alice in Wonderland Primitive Doll Pattern

I have just finished up a new pattern for pattern mart. I am working on a series of dolls from Alice in Wonderland. This is the third Alice that I have done and I just love how she turned out. All of my patterns are easy to make and would be fine for a beginner. I can't do any fancy sewing so that makes it easier for everyone else.

Here is a pick, I hope to have a couple of others soon.

Charleston SC vacation

Well just got back from Charleston a few days ago and it is a beautiful city. Way too much good food. If I lived there I would weigh 500 lbs. Really liked the seafood. I found a really cool cemetery on one of the old streets lined with 300 yr old trees. Really beautiful !!! I will download some pics tomorrow.

New Work today

I love doing these little quirky portraits and think I will stick with them for a while. I move around so much in my thoughts, it makes me tired. LOL

I will be so glad to see Spring get here. It was around 70 the last couple of days but is now back down to around 30- I wish it would just get warm.

I am working on adding more items to etsy right now. It seems that ebay has does something terrible to their search and nothing seems to show up any more.

I wish they would just leave things the way they were, ofcourse I know change can be good too.

Crow Tarot Decks are now available

I now have the 22 major arcana cards for sell on etsy. You can click on the above link or try this one Etsy.
I am also working on a fairy deck right now. It was so much fun to do and I look forward to working on more.
I spent yesterday getting some things ready for the artisan center. I would love to be able to switch out things more often. I also have a dozen primitive dolls that I have designed and would like to make. I am so busy anymore. To see my latest check out my website at www.nannynortonprims.com.

Crow Tarot Finished at Last

I have finally finished the last of the majors on my Crow Tarot. Two of the last four are up for auction on ebay. It has take a while to get them done, but I am pleased with how they turned out. You should be able to see most of them from this slide show. I hope to have decks available soon.

New Painting - Old Civil War House

I went out Sunday to take pictures of old Civil War homes in the area.

It is a shame that some of them are just left to fall apart. It is such a sad and beautiful sight at the same time. I used one of the pictures today to do a mixed media work on 20 x 20 canvas. I love the colors and the sense of nostalgia.

New Crow Tarot Cards and Pendants For Ebay

I have been busy working on my Crow Tarot deck and have made it half way through. I have starting selling pendants with the crows on them too. I have several listed on ebay right now and hope to have the entire deck finished by the middle of February.

It has been fascinating working on my own tarot deck. I have learned so much about the world of tarot and I look forward to learning more about fortune telling in the future. I will keep everyone posted. Thanks to all of you who have supported me in my adventure.

More on the Crow Tarot Deck

I have really enjoyed working on my Crow Tarot Series. I am to the Seeker for now. I have been sellling the original works on ebay. I wish I had waited until after the set was published but it just didn't occur to me. Here are some of the other cards. You can find the other originals listed this week.
Check out my new video on Youtube this week too. I hope to do more soon.

More on My Crow Tarot Deck

I have painted the first five cards. I am so excited about designing this deck of cards. I began my interest in the tarot in college. I also played around with runes, but just couldn't get the same feel for them.

My first deck was called the Enochian Deck which was wonderful. I then moved on to the Witch's Deck which I still have. I have been looking around and there are hundreds of kinds of Tarot decks to choose from. I have several that I would like to design. I will post some pics of the others as I get them done.

New Crow Tarot Card Series

I have been having a ball working on a very unique project for me. I have decided to do a Crow Tarot Deck of my own. I have been fascinated with the Tarot for years and have decided it is time. I have already begun work on the originals. I have done them as aceo cards and listed them on ebay. I wish I had waited until I had all my cards finished but I already have bids so I will have to finish my task as I had first planned.

I thougt I would post a few pics of my new cards.

Happy New Year

I have been very busy of late getting things ready for the new year. I have been through my house like a whirl wind. I have been cleaning and decluttering. Mostly just throwing things out. It just dawned on me how full my little house is.
I think sometimes I have bouts of claustrophobia. I just know I want it to have half the stuff that it has now. I find that if I close my eyes it is easier to throw things out.
I lost my sister-n-law the day before Thanksgiving and I have been trying to deal with that also.
She was only 31 yrs old. It seems so unfair for someone so young, with two young children and a career to just disappear from the planet. It has made me realize how little time we really have here. I have been trying to make everyday count. It is a shame that it takes a tragedy for us to see how lucky we are.
Well enough of that for today. I hope to be able to post at least every other day this year. I hope to be more disciplined. Tomorrow you can take a peek at my new Crow Tarot that I am working on.

New Work on My Website

I have been working on my website for the last couple of days and I just reopened my ebay store Nanny Norton Prims Unique Folk Art.

I closed it down in Feb, and I have been so busy this summer.

Here are some of the paintings you will find in the store and on my website.

I have free shipping on my website too.

Hump Day Wednesday

Well I have been busy painting today. I worked on some ACEOs and others. I have been listing more on etsy. A wonderful artist was telling me to give it a try. I hope to gain a following on there so I can give up ebay all together. It is entirely too time consuming. It takes so much time to take care of everything, there is no time to create. Creating after all is what makes life fun.

Here are the works I finished up today. You can find both of these on ebay.

Sad news from the heartland

Last week was a very sad week for me. I lost my beloved puppy of eight years. He was a very special dog. He loved keeping track of his small space and was a very big presence in my life. It has been so cold here this week and I really miss talking to him. I hope that he is safe and warm where he is now.
